Fresh water charters

Fresh water charters take place in Barra do Cunhau, at the Canguaretama municipality,  which is part of three different hydrographic basins. The largest is the Curimataú basin, covering 66 pct of the municipality, followed by the Catú basin (18 pct) and, the Guayú river´s basin (16 pct). The main rivers crossing Canguaretama are Curimataú, Espinho, Catú, Oiteiro, Guaju, da Volta and Lavada, followed by lesser streams and lagoons such as: Calândia, Pequeri, Pituaçu, Quabradinha, Uriuninha, Aniquim and Poço.
The fishing guide operates a boat with two engines, one for cruising (gasoline) and another during fishing (electric). A fshing tour takes about six (06) hours, but this can be adjusted with the anglers. Capacity of the boat depends on fishing technique. If fly fishing, two people and  other fishing techniques up to three anglers. Larger number of participants with prior consultation.
As Tarpon and Snook are so abundant, spinning and jumping jig are the favorite, but fly fishing also offers great satisfaction.
Prices include full tackle for spinning/jumping, snack (mineral water, natural fruit and sandwiches), as well as transfer from Natal and back.
